Four members of staff appointed as Associates

We are pleased to announce that four members of staff have recently been appointed as Associates.

Gareth Westworth joined Scott & Wilkinson after leaving school in 1990, having attended Skerton High School before joining the sixth form at Lancaster Royal Grammar School.

As a manager, Gareth is responsible for a varied portfolio of clients and is involved in all aspects of accounting, audit and taxation work.

Gareth is married with three children and lives in Morecambe.  He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and cricket in addition to attending the gym and watching football.

Wendy Hird has over 30 years experience working in taxation, having spent 7 years with HM Revenue and Customs after leaving school, before moving to an accountancy practice, subsequently joining Scott & Wilkinson in 1996.

Wendy attended Carnforth High School and then the sixth form at Morecambe High School and completed the Association of Taxation Technicians qualification in 1991.

Wendy draws on her wealth of experience specialising in the more complex and involved personal tax clients.

Living in Bolton-le-Sands, Wendy is married with two children.  She is interested in sport and enjoys spending time with her family and walking.

Gill Lowcock joined Scott & Wilkinson in 2001 and qualified as an Accountant in 2004.  Prior to studying Information Business Technology at Myerscough College, Gill attended Garstang High School.

Gill is involved in all areas of accounts, audit and taxation and also looks after her own clients.

Married with two children Gill lives in Nateby near Garstang and enjoys getting out into the countryside with her family and socialising with friends.

Sam McMorland joined Scott & Wilkinson in 2002, qualifying as an Accountant in 2007.  Sam was a pupil at Giggleswick School and moved to the Lancaster area in 1999 in order to attend Lancaster University, where she obtained a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Sam deals with all aspects of accountancy, audit and tax and has her own portfolio of clients.

Sam lives in Lancaster with her husband and one year old daughter and enjoys walking, reading and spending time with her family and friends.

With over 80 years accounting and taxation experience between them, these appointments will serve to strengthen and improve the range and quality of services we are able to offer our clients.
