Congratulations to Richard, John, Ed and Joe Towers, and family
Date: 08/11/17
We are delighted to hear that the team at Brades Farm in Farleton recently won the Dairy Innovation category at the British Farming Awards.
Since the 1970s, Richard and Elizabeth Towers and their family have been a much loved, traditional milk distributor in the Lancaster area. Now their son John, and grandsons Ed and Joe, have taken the business into a whole new arena. Brades Farm Barista Milk is a new blend of milk, developed specifically for the trendy barista customer, and between a third and half of the farm's milk production is distributed to London's coffee shops, restaurants and hotels.
Judges for the British Farming Awards praised Joe and Ed for the way in which they have identified and seized the opportunity in this new market, and focussed on driving their family business forward.
We are delighted to see a farming family business thrive and grow as it is handed on through the generations.
