Congratulations Michael Orford!
Date: 20/04/21
A massive congratulations are due to our very own Michael Orford who received the fantastic news that he passed his final exam and is now a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). We hope that Michael can celebrate this fantastic achievement and enjoy his study-free evenings.
Michael moved to Lancaster from Preston to attend Lancaster University in 2011, from which he graduated with a 2:1 in Accountancy and Finance. Michael loved Lancaster so much he decided to stay and got a job with another local accountancy firm before joining our team four years ago.
Since joining Michael has never looked back as he undertakes a wide array of work for us and is a valuable member of our team. Some of our clients may recognise Michael from the statutory audits he undertakes or from the software implementation work he has done which involves ensuring our clients have the necessary systems in place for being compliant with Making Tax Digital. More recently Michael has taken on the role of organising and calculating furlough claims for our clients ensuring that the correct amounts are being claimed and claims are sent in on time to help improve our client's cash flow during the recent uncertain times.
Outside of work, Michael is just as busy as he is at work as he is the leader of the 11-14’s youth group at his local church. Michael is also a player-manager for his church’s football team who play in the SportsReach League. Seeing Michael play in our work’s 5 A-side tournament we can confirm he is quite the midfield maestro.
In Michael’s spare time he enjoys running, watching football, playing games or watching a good Netflix drama with his wife Anna.
