A Great Performance from Scott & Wilkinson’s Fab Five!

Monday 9th July was the date for 2018 Lloyds 5-aside football tournament. A popular fixture in the local business calendar, this year saw teams enter from Lloyds, Kieron Bassett, Harrison Drury, ICS Accountants, OSG, Begbies Traynor, CLB, Ratcliffe & Bibby, Moore & Smalley, Burton & Fisher, and the winners of the 2017 tournament – Scott & Wilkinson!

One of the great benefits of the tournament is the money raised for charity. The total collected from entry fees and on the evening is generously matched by Lloyds and donated to the chosen charity of the winning team. In 2017 we were delighted to support the local branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

But did Football come home to Scott & Wilkinson this year? Sadly not. Despite the support of a brilliant team mascot (Amber Leeming) and keeping a clean sheet throughout the tournament, our team was beaten in the final by Begbies Traynor, 1-0 in sudden death penalties. Where is Harry Kane when you need him? Our team was made up of  Michael Orford, Chris Carter, Phil Leeming, Tim Preece (Partner), Phil Leeming, Rachel Harrison and Marcus Leech (goal-keeper) and of course, our lovely mascot Amber.

Congratulations to the team from Begbies and everyone involved in either organising or taking part in this great tournament. We look forward to seeing you all next year!
