Winners of 'Best Team Spirit'.
Date: 10/08/18
A huge well done to Napthens for organising a thoroughly enjoyable rounders tournament in aid of Cumbria Communities Foundation (CCF). The event took place at the stunning Sedgwick Cricket Club on Thursday 9th August.
CCF was set up to strengthen communities by connecting people who care with inspirational, life-changing projects which benefit the most disadvantaged. Each year the Foundation provides much needed grants to more than 500 community projects and has awarded £35m in grants since it began in 1999.
Taking part in the tournament were teams from Rathbones, English Lakes Hotels, CLB Coopers, Lake District Country House Hotels, Net*, Biketreks, BNI, IAA, CCF, Napthens and of course...Scott & Wilkinson.
Our team came a respectable 3rd out of the 10 teams competing, and we are very proud to have brought home the trophy for 'Best Team Spirit'.
Thanks go to all our team members - Alan Taylor, Olivia Taylor, Lydia Taylor, James Cornthwaite, Zoe Kitchen, Phil Leeming, Susan Seward, Chris Carter, Becci Raby (from Raby Contract Services), and Janet Pardula. A special thank you to Olivia and Lydia who kindly joined the team at the very last minute. We would have been lost without you!
