Summer Economic Update 2020

Yesterday the Chancellor, in his Summer Economic Update, announced a number of new measures that aim to secure the UK’s economic recovery from Coronavirus. The announcements include a temporary reduction to VAT for the hospitality industry, increased thresholds for Stamp Duty Land Tax, rewards for employers who retain previously furloughed staff and discounts for eating out.
