Meet the Team - Andrew Wright
Date: 26/01/18
Andrew, a former pupil of QES in Kirkby Lonsdale and who attended primary school in his local village of Wray, joined our firm in 2010. During his time with Scott & Wilkinson he has studied hard and is now a Certified Accounting Technician.
Proud to be part of a long established and respected Lune Valley farming family, Andrew is a keen supporter of events in the local community as well as being a committed fundraiser. Hornby and District Sheepdog and Sheep Show is a key date in the agricultural calendar and Andrew is a hardworking committee member. Each year the event raises thousands of pounds for local charities as well as encouraging local youngsters, and oldies, to show off their stock and their skills. As well as being heavily involved with his local church, Andrew has spent nine months at Capernwray Hall Bible School.
Andrew’s position with Scott & Wilkinson is wide ranging. He prepares accounts for local businesses across many sectors. From agriculture to the leisure industry, from haulage to retail. One of the clients he works on is the fabulous B4RN, or Broadband for the Rural North. Providing every property in its network, no matter how remote, with one of the fastest, cheapest and most reliable services in the world, this revolutionary community organisation had hit the headlines on many occasions. Andrew also helps look after the firm’s own accounts, bookkeeping and sales ledger. We must really trust him!
In addition to all of this, and one of Andrew’s best kept secrets, is that not too long ago he ran the Great North Run and raised almost £1,000 for Cancer Research UK. Perhaps we will see him complete the London Marathon before he reaches his 30th birthday. We would certainly be cheering him on from the side lines.
