Cloud solutions

Across the media we regularly hear the word “Cloud” in relation to technology that affects our everyday lives.  The latest bookkeeping and accountancy software products are embracing the “Cloud”.

For those of you unfamiliar with the phrase, “Cloud Services” effectively means that the software that you are using is at a secure, remote location with the software provider taking responsibility for back-ups, upgrades and anti-virus security, rather than the software being on your personal computer or office network and you taking the responsibility.

With the increased focus on flexible working patterns, you and your employees need to be able to access your financial data from the office, at home or whilst on the move. Cloud Services allow this happen using Web browsers or Apps to access software. With HMRC placing greater emphasis on “Making Tax Digital” (MTD), SMEs need the ability to submit returns digitally at the touch of a button and Cloud Services will enable this.

There are various Cloud accounting software packages available including offerings from FreeAgent, Kashflow, QuickBooks, Sage and Xero.  Scott and Wilkinson has a number of highly trained individuals who are able to provide support and guidance on a number of these software choices and would be happy to advise on the best software choice to suit you and your business.
